# Deactivate payment method

`POST /v1/payment_methods/{payment_method_id}/deactivate`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deactivate payment method. Deactivated payment methods cannot be used to process payins. The payment method status must be `ACTIVE` to be deactivated.
