# Simulate device interaction

`POST /v1/device_registrations/{device_registration_id}/simulate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sandbox.rainforestpay.com`
- URL: `https://api.sandbox.rainforestpay.com/v1/device_registrations/{device_registration_id}/simulate`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Only available in the Rainforest sandbox environment.

After presenting a payin or payment method on a virtual device this endpoint is available to move on from the `PRESENTING` status to a desired subsequent status.

The expected webhook will be sent for the payin or payment method on status change.

## Parameters
