# Open a demo session

`POST /api/v1/public/demo/session`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/api/v1/public/demo/session`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

A short-lived, read-only access token for the demo organization. It cannot be refreshed, and every request that would change something is refused with 403 `demo_read_only`. Ten sessions a minute per address, behind the registration challenge where one is configured.

## Response `200`

The session

- DemoSessionResponse
  - `accessToken` string
  - `expiresAt` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: The challenge was not passed
- `404`: The demo is not enabled on this server
- `429`: Too many demo sessions from this address
- `503`: The demo data is still being prepared
