# Enable public share link

`POST /v1/transcriptions/{id}/share`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.quillhub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.quillhub.ai/v1/transcriptions/{id}/share`

Turns on the public share link for a transcription. Idempotent — calling it on an already-shared transcription returns the same URL. The `public_id` is stable and never rotates; calling DELETE then POST yields the same URL. The optional `locale` query parameter controls only the language segment of the returned URL — the recipient can still switch UI language via the page header.

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `locale` 'en' | 'ru': UI locale segment for the returned URL. Defaults to `en`.

## Response `200`

Share enabled.

  - `public_id` string, required
  - `url` string, uri, required
  - `share_enabled` boolean, required
  - `share_enabled_at` string, date-time, nullable, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid Bearer token.
- `404`: No transcription with this id exists under the authenticated account.
