# Get the authenticated user

`GET /v1/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.quillhub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.quillhub.ai/v1/me`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the owner of the current API key together with the point balance. Cheap to call — use it as a liveness check or to display the user's remaining balance in your UI.

- Me
  - `id` string, required: Stable user identifier, prefixed with `usr_`.
  - `available_points` number, nullable, required: Current point balance. Points are consumed on transcription completion; `null` for grandfathered accounts with unlimited processing.
  - `subscription` unknown, required
