ADVISORY-MODE (2026-07-22, CORE PRODUCT LAW) — set the USER-controlled
trade mode for one deployed alpha: live | shadow | shelf.

This is DELIBERATELY separate from the engine verdict and from the run
status (running/paused/retired). The honest engine ADVISES (its verdict
is shown BESIDE this choice); the USER decides the fate:
  live   → normal forward-walk.
  shadow → tracks signals but commits no new fills (existing positions
           still mark/exit).
  shelf  → not writing (the walk skips it).
A SHELF-graded strategy is NEVER auto-shelved — only the user can. Owner/
desk-pair scoped (404 cross-desk); audited. Idempotent (changed=false on
a no-op).
