# Fork a stack profile into a lower or equal scope

`POST /tools/v1/stack-profiles/{profile_id}/fork`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.qualityclouds.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer

Fork an existing stack profile into a target scope.

Exactly one of org_id, workspace_id, repository_id must be provided.
The target scope must be equal to or lower than the source scope.
All agents from the source are copied with origin='inherited'.

- ForkStackProfileBody: Request body for forking a stack profile into a target scope.
