# Trigger Merge Check

`POST /api/v1/service/merge-checks`

## Request

Trigger a merge-check (DIFF) scan end-to-end. Returns 202 {scan_id}.

## Request body

- MergeCheckTriggerBody: Internal trigger to run a merge-check (DIFF) scan end-to-end.
  - `repository_id` string, required
  - `source_branch` string, required
  - `target_branch` string, required
  - `head_commit` string, required
  - `base_commit` string, nullable
  - `pr_reference` string, nullable
  - `provider` string, nullable
