# Delete Workspace

`DELETE /api/workspaces/{workspace_id}`

Tombstone the workspace and purge it in the background.

Owner-only: a grant holder gets the same 404 as a stranger. The tombstone
lands before this returns, so every later request for the workspace 404s,
viewers included; the purge itself is resumed at the next API start if
this process dies before finishing it.
