## Request body

- SignupAttribution: Where a visitor came from, as the browser saw it on arrival. The marketing site and the hosted app record the campaign parameters, the Google Ads click IDs, the external referrer's hostname, and the website's anonymous visitor ID, and send them with the onboarding or contact form and with the hosted app's signup report. Nothing here is verified. Malformed values are dropped rather than rejected, so attribution can never fail the request it rides on. The visitor ID must be a UUID, as the website and PostHog generate, so it can never name a distinct ID PostHog uses for something else, such as a numeric user ID.
