# Freeze a card

`POST /cards/{id}/freeze`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.quackr.io`

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Temporarily freeze a card to prevent any transactions. Optionally transfer the remaining balance back to your account.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

  - `transferBalance` boolean: If true, transfers remaining card balance back to account before freezing

## Response `200`

Card frozen successfully
