# Delete a secret from an application

`DELETE /application/{applicationId}/secret/{secretId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.qovery.com`
- URL: `https://api.qovery.com/application/{applicationId}/secret/{secretId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Authorization`
  - HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/qovery/apis/qovery-api/docs/application/:applicationId/secret/:secretId/delete.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

- To delete a secret you must have the project user permission
- You can't delete a BUILT_IN secret
- If you delete a secret having override or alias, the associated override/alias will be deleted as well

## Path parameters

- `applicationId` string, uuid, required
- `secretId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

The resource was deleted successfully

## Other responses

- `401`: Access token is missing or invalid
- `403`: Access forbidden
- `404`: Resource not found
