# Directorship check (background verification)

`POST /kyc/verify/director-affiliations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.qorpiq.com`
- URL: `https://api.qorpiq.com/kyc/verify/director-affiliations`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Given a PAN or DIN, every company the individual is a director/partner of, plus disqualification. For BGV / conflict-of-interest checks.

## Request body

- DirectorAffiliationsRequest: Provide a pan or a din.
  - `realtime` boolean: Read the record live from MCA instead of our saved copy. Default false: a saved copy that covers this check answers first, and MCA is read live only when we hold no sufficient record. Live reads are available to accounts enabled for them; if a live read cannot run, the saved copy answers and the response says so.
  - `pan` string
  - `din` string

## Response `200`

Success.

  - `transaction_id` string, uuid: Unique id for this request, echoed in the X-Transaction-Id header.

  - `has_din` boolean: false = the individual holds no directorships on record.

  - `disqualification` object, nullable
  - `directorships_source` 'mca' | 'saved_copy' | 'unavailable': mca = company list read live from MCA. saved_copy = from QorpIQ's director register (the default when we hold one; send realtime for a live read). unavailable = no company list could be read; DIN status is still live, directorships is null and the call is not charged.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body or parameters.
- `401`: Missing or invalid x-api-key.
- `402`: Balance too low for this call. Add money to your QorpIQ balance to continue (reason credit_balance_exhausted is kept for compatibility).
- `503`: MCA data source temporarily unavailable.
