# Adjudication (penalty) exposure

`POST /kyc/verify/adjudication`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

MCA e-adjudication proceedings / penalty orders against a director (DIN) or company (CIN). A DIN returns the director's exposure across every company; a CIN returns the company's full docket. Public regulatory-order data; internal MCA officer routing fields are stripped. A clean subject returns has_adjudication:false (HTTP 200, not 404).

## Request body

- AdjudicationRequest: Provide a din (director-level) or cin (company-level). A generic identifier is auto-detected. Precedence: din > cin.
  - `din` string: Director DIN (8 digits). Returns the director's penalty exposure across all companies.
  - `cin` string: Company CIN/LLPIN. Returns the company's full adjudication docket.
  - `identifier` string: DIN or CIN; auto-detected when din/cin are not supplied.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body or parameters.
- `401`: Missing or invalid x-api-key.
- `402`: Balance too low for this call. Add money to your QorpIQ balance to continue (reason credit_balance_exhausted is kept for compatibility).
- `503`: MCA data source temporarily unavailable.
