# Verify a GSTIN

`POST /kyc/gst/verify`

## Request

Slim verification summary for a GSTIN - validity plus legal name, status, taxpayer type, constitution and state. Use /kyc/gst/search for the full record.

  - `gstin` string, required: 15-character GSTIN.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid GSTIN or request body.
- `401`: Missing or invalid x-api-key.
- `402`: Balance too low for this call. Add money to your QorpIQ balance to continue (reason credit_balance_exhausted is kept for compatibility).
- `404`: No GST registration found for that GSTIN.
- `503`: GST data source temporarily unavailable.
