# Suggest Locations

`GET /jobs/locations/suggest`

## Request

Autocomplete canonical locations, ranked by live job count.

Backed by the locations table (one row per canonical place), so job-filter
dropdowns and target-location pickers share the same standardized entries.
Returns location_id, which /jobs/ accepts as a filter, plus lat/lon for
distance search. city/state/country/count keys kept for older clients.

scope=all additionally searches the full GeoNames gazetteer (234k cities)
for places not yet in the locations table - those come back with
location_id null and count 0; their display_name geocodes exactly on write.

- `q` string
- `limit` integer
- `granularity` string, nullable: Filter: city | state | country
- `scope` string: 'jobs' = places with jobs only; 'all' = fall back to the global gazetteer (for target-location pickers)
