# Update Organization Member Role

`PUT /v1/orgs/{orgID}/members/{userID}/role`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3000`
- URL: `http://localhost:3000/v1/orgs/{orgID}/members/{userID}/role`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Promotes a standard user to an organization admin role or demotes them back to a standard member.
Requires Org Admin privileges.

## Path parameters

- `orgID` string, uuid, required: The ID of the organization.
- `userID` string, uuid, required: The ID of the user whose role is being updated.

## Request body

- UpdateOrgMemberRoleRequest
  - `role` 'admin' | 'member', required: The new role for the member. 'admin' promotes to organization admin, 'member' demotes to standard member.

Role updated successfully
