# Validate access token

`POST /users/validate-access-token`

Optional helper: checks whether an **opaque Doorkeeper access token** (the token string, not a JWT) is present,
not revoked, and not expired. Use the same value you would send in **`Authorization: Bearer`**. For new clients,
validating by calling a lightweight authenticated endpoint is often sufficient.
