# Send mobile verification code

`POST /users/mobile-verifications`

## Request

Sends (or re-sends) a 6-digit SMS one-time code to the account with the
given mobile number. Used after a mobile-first sign-up and when changing
the mobile in settings. Always returns **204** — the response never
reveals whether a mobile number has an account. Re-sends are rate-limited
(60s cooldown); codes expire after 10 minutes.

  - `mobile` string, required: Australian mobile in any common format.

## Response `204`

Accepted (a code was sent if the mobile matches an unverified account).

## Other responses

- `403`: Forbidden — first-party only; refused to an API key or an assistant's token.
