# Add a status page incident

`POST /status-page/{statusPageId}/incidents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pulsetic.com/api/public`
- URL: `https://api.pulsetic.com/api/public/status-page/{statusPageId}/incidents`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Requires a full-access API key (read-only keys are rejected). Subscribers who have verified their email are notified by email when the incident is created. Creates the incident together with its first update in one call - see StatusPageIncidentCreateInput for the required fields.

## Request body

- StatusPageIncidentCreateInput: Creates the incident together with its first update in one call.
  - `title` string, required
  - `update` object, required
    - `status` 'exploring' | 'identified' | 'update' | 'resolved', required: Case-insensitive on input, stored lowercase. One of `exploring`, `identified`, `update`, `resolved`.
    - `message` string, required: Plain text. Newlines are preserved; Markdown/HTML is not rendered. Max 65000 characters.
    - `date` string: Optional. `Y-m-d H:i[:s]` (UTC) or `d/m/Y h:i A`. Omitted defaults to the current time.

## Response `200`

successful operation. `created_at`/`updated_at` are unix timestamps.
