# Search Players

`GET /v1/sports/{sport_key}/players`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.prop-line.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.prop-line.com/v1/sports/{sport_key}/players`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - API key in query parameter `apiKey`

Find a player's stable `player_id`, every spelling we know for them, and
his team (`team`, `team_abbr`, `team_as_of`): from his most recent
graded game or, when newer or before his first one, the league's
current roster; null when unknown.

Built from the grading registry: a name appears here once one of its
props has been graded against a real box score, so every spelling is
one we have proven. Pass the `player_id` (e.g. `mlb:677951`) as the
`{player_name}` of /history or /trends to read every spelling
at once. Free on every tier.
