# Briefs Create

`POST /v1/briefs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.proofread.law` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Save a brief: {"text", "title"?}. Runs the default check exactly as POST /verify does, keeps the text and the report encrypted with
the account's key, and returns {id, title, created_at, updated_at, summary, report}. It counts as one check, unless this account
checked exactly this text with POST /verify in the last 30 minutes (that check paid for it, once). The title defaults to the first
line of the text (80 characters). Signed-in only; nothing is stored by /verify.
