# Check domain verification

`POST /api/v1/verifications/domain/{id}/check`

## Request

Check the status of a pending domain verification. Queries DNS TXT records or HTTP file to verify domain ownership.

## Other responses

- `403`: `account_key_required` — this API key is bound to one sub-account; account-level changes need an account-wide key or the dashboard.
- `404`: Domain not found
- `409`: `domain_revoking` — the domain's revocation cascade is running (h-implement-proper-deletion, DOM-1); nothing is minted for it — retry in a moment
