# Start domain verification (self-service)

`POST /api/v1/me/verify/domain`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.proof.holdings`

- Auth: API key in cookie `auth_token`

Start a self-service domain verification from the dashboard.

## Request body

- StartUserDomainVerificationRequest: Request body for starting user domain verification
  - `domain` string, required: Domain to verify
  - `channel` 'dns' | 'http': Verification channel

## Response `200`

Domain verification started

- SuccessResponse: Generic success response
  - `success` boolean, required
  - `message` string
