# Download a data export

`GET /api/v1/me/export/{jobId}/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.proof.holdings`
- URL: `https://api.proof.holdings/api/v1/me/export/{jobId}/download`
- Auth: API key in cookie `auth_token`

The file itself, as a JSON attachment (`proof-account-export-<date>.json`), to the signed-in owner only; the first download is recorded (`downloaded_at`), which the deletion reminder reports. Reachable while the account is locked.

- `jobId` string, required: The export id

## Response `200`

The export file: `format_version`, `exported_at`, `account_id`, `about`, `not_included` (fields left out, per section), `sections` (rows per collection) and `counts`

## Other responses

- `400`: Malformed export id
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: `owner_session_required` — an API key may not export the account; exporting belongs to the signed-in owner (dashboard, or an MCP login session)
- `404`: No such export on this account (an export is kept for 7 days)
- `409`: `export_not_ready` — still `preparing`, or `failed` (start a new one); `status` names which
