# Add email

`POST /api/v1/me/emails/add`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.proof.holdings`
- URL: `https://api.proof.holdings/api/v1/me/emails/add`
- Auth: API key in cookie `auth_token`

Start adding a new email address via OTP verification. Whether the address already signs in to another account is not answered here — that is decided only once the code proves control of it (see the verify step).

## Request body

- AddEmailRequest: Request body for adding a new email
  - `email` string, email, required: Email address to add

## Response `200`

Email add session started

- SuccessResponse: Generic success response
  - `success` boolean, required
  - `message` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
