# Delete HITL keypair and archive the config

`DELETE /api/v1/hitl/{id}/keys`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.proof.holdings`
- URL: `https://api.proof.holdings/api/v1/hitl/{id}/keys`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `auth_token`

Removes the keypair AND archives the HITL configuration, then system-denies every pending confirmation on it. Existing ciphertexts become permanently unreadable — there is no historical keyring, so this cannot be undone by re-uploading the same key. This is not a reversible detach: treat it as decommissioning the config.

- `404`: not_found (no ACTIVE HITL config with this id) or no_keypair (the config has no keypair to delete)
