# Validate Invite

`POST /parent-invite/validate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.projectindi.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Validate an invite code and return child info for messaging.

Called BEFORE auth to check if code is valid and get child name.
Does NOT require authentication - allows checking before signup.
Returns generic error for both invalid and already-claimed codes (security).

Side-effect: sets first_opened_at on first validation call per code and
fires a parent_invite_opened PostHog event.
