# Delete Observation

`PATCH /observations/{observation_id}/delete`

Soft-delete an observation (set is_deleted=true).

Thin transport wrapper over ``perform_observation_delete`` (shared with the
GraphQL ``deleteObservation`` mutation). RLS is the single authorization
gate; orphan timeline ghosts can be cleared by family members. See the
shared helper for the two-leg behaviour.

Authentication: JWT required via Authorization header
RLS: Parents (family members) and clinicians (with child access)
can soft-delete observations. Orphan timeline ghosts can be
cleared by family members.
