# Create an external fiat account

`POST /v1/users/{user_id}/external_fiat_accounts`

Creates an external fiat account linked to a user for use in offramp transfers.

## Path parameters

- `user_id` string, required: The DID of the user to create the external fiat account for.

- `privy-app-id` string, required: ID of your Privy app.

- CreateExternalFiatAccountRequestBody: Request body for creating a Bridge external fiat account.
  - `provider` 'bridge', required: Discriminator: the external fiat account is orchestrated via Bridge.
  - `environment` 'sandbox' | 'production': The Privy API environment.

  - `account_owner` union: The individual or business that owns the account. Required for `iban`, `gb`, and `swift` accounts.
    - object: An individual who owns an external fiat account.

    - object: Brazilian Pix account data for an external fiat account. Provide exactly one of `pix_key` or `br_code`.

      - `pix_key` string: The Pix key: an EVP (UUID), CPF, CNPJ, Brazilian phone number (+55…), or email address.
      - `br_code` string: The Pix "copia e cola" (copy and paste) BR Code.
      - `document_number` string: Optional CPF/CNPJ associated with the account, digits only.
    - object: IBAN bank account data for an external fiat account. Pays out over SEPA.
      - `type` 'iban', required
      - `account_number` string, required: The IBAN. Up to 34 characters, per ISO 13616.
      - `bic` string, required: The BIC/SWIFT code of the beneficiary bank.
      - `country` string, required: Country the account is held in, as an ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code.
    - object: SWIFT bank account data for an external fiat account. Pays out over wire. The beneficiary address is required for SWIFT and is supplied as the request's top-level `address`.
      - `type` 'swift', required
      - `account_number` string, required
      - `bic` string, required: The BIC/SWIFT code of the beneficiary bank.
      - `country` string: Country the account is held in, as an ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code.
      - `category` 'client' | 'parent_company' | 'subsidiary' | 'supplier', required: Business relationship between the payer and the SWIFT account owner.
      - `purpose_of_funds` ExternalFiatAccountSwiftPurposeOfFunds[], required
