# Add to denylist

`POST /v1/apps/{app_id}/denylist`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.privy.io`

Add a new entry to the denylist for an app. Adding an entry that already exists returns the existing entry.

## Path parameters

- `app_id` string, required: The ID of the app.

## Headers

- `privy-app-id` string, required: ID of your Privy app.

## Request body

- union: Input for adding a denylist entry. Discriminated by type.
  - object: Denylist input for an email address, which also blocks its `+` and `.` variants.
    - `type` 'email', required
    - `value` string, email, required
  - object: Denylist input for an email domain, which blocks every email address on the domain.
    - `type` 'emailDomain', required
    - `value` string, required: An email domain.
  - object: Denylist input for a phone number.
    - `type` 'phone', required
    - `value` string, required
  - object: Denylist input for an Ethereum wallet address, which blocks SIWE logins.
    - `type` 'ethereumAddress', required
    - `value` string, required
  - object: Denylist input for a Solana wallet address, which blocks SIWS logins.
    - `type` 'solanaAddress', required
    - `value` string, required

## Response `200`

The created denylist entry.

- DenylistEntry: A denylist entry for an app.
  - `id` string, required: The ID of the denylist entry.
  - `rule_type` union, required: The type of identifier a denylist rule blocks.
    - 'email' | 'emailDomain' | 'phone' | 'ethereumAddress' | 'solanaAddress'
    - string
  - `value` string, required: The blocked identifier.
