# Get account balance

`GET /v1/accounts/{account_id}/balance`

## Request

Get the balance of an account, aggregated across all wallets and supported chains.

## Path parameters

- `account_id` string, required: ID of the account.

## Query parameters

- `testnet_mode` 'true' | 'false': When set to true, returns balances from testnet chains instead of mainnets.

## Headers

- `privy-app-id` string, required: ID of your Privy app.

## Response `200`

The account balance.

- AccountBalanceResponse: The balance of a digital asset account, aggregated across all wallets and supported chains.
  - `total` object, required: The total balance across all assets.
    - `value` string, required: The monetary value as a string.
    - `currency` 'usd', required: Currency code
  - `assets` BalanceAsset[], required: The individual asset balances, each computed across all supported chains.
    - `symbol` string, required: The symbol of the asset (e.g. USDC, ETH).
    - `amount` string, required: The amount of the asset held, denominated in the unit of the asset itself, with 1 decimal of precision.
    - `price` object, required: The price of the asset in the provided currency.
      - `value` string, required: The monetary value as a string.
      - `currency` 'usd', required: Currency code
  - `assets_by_chain` BalanceAssetByChain[]: Individual asset balances per chain.
    - `symbol` string, required: The symbol of the asset (e.g. USDC, ETH).
    - `amount` string, required: The amount of the asset held on this chain, denominated in the unit of the asset itself.
    - `price` object, required: The price of the asset in the provided currency.
      - `value` string, required: The monetary value as a string.
      - `currency` 'usd', required: Currency code
    - `chain_id` string, required: The CAIP-2 chain identifier (e.g. eip155:4217 for Tempo, eip155:8453 for Base).
