# Get transcript words

`GET /api/v1/projects/{projectId}/transcript`

Retrieve a bounded passage of source-relative transcript words and exact timing from an owned project. Paginate with nextAfterOrdinal or constrain the result to a source time window.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `after_ordinal` integer: Return words after this ordinal; use -1 for the beginning
- `limit` integer: Maximum timed words to return
- `start_ms` integer: Only include words overlapping this source-relative start time
- `end_ms` integer: Only include words overlapping this source-relative end time

## Response `200`

A bounded transcript passage with exact word timing.

## Other responses

- `400`: The pagination or source time window is invalid.
- `401`: The API key is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The API key lacks evidence:read.
- `404`: The owned project or transcript was not found.
- `429`: The API-key rate limit was exceeded.
- `503`: Evidence storage is unavailable.
