# Download one sent email attachment

`GET /sent-emails/{id}/attachments/{part_index}`

## Request

Returns the original decoded bytes of one retained attachment. Authenticate with an organization API key, an authorized organization OAuth token, or an address-bound agent connection key. Connected agents can read only their own outgoing sender attachments. Function credentials and download query tokens are not supported. Duplicate filenames are distinguished by part_index. The part limit is 31457280 bytes; the complete archive must fit 67108864 compressed and decoded bytes and 1024 entries including metadata. Metadata headers are limited to 16384 bytes each and 262144 bytes total; resolved archive paths are limited to 4096 UTF-8 bytes. Preparation has a 15-second deadline. A small part in an oversized archive can exceed these limits. This does not parse interactions or certify sender identity. Discarded content is unavailable.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Authenticated caller lacks permission for the operation
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: attachment_changed: email attachment metadata changed during the read. Refresh email detail before retrying.
- `410`: content_discarded: email content has been discarded or discard is requested.
- `413`: attachment_limit_exceeded: the part or archive exceeds a documented resource limit. Retrying this content will not help.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. The `ratelimit-*` headers describe the limiter that rejected this request, with its own limit and window, not the API budget that successful responses report. A limiter that reports only a wait sends `Retry-After` alone.
- `502`: attachment_integrity_failed: retained content failed archive, part digest or structure verification.
- `503`: attachment_not_ready: archive materialization is pending; or attachment_storage_unavailable: storage is temporarily unavailable. Retry-After advises when to retry.
