# Download sent email attachments

`GET /sent-emails/{id}/attachments.tar.gz`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.primitive.dev/v1`
- URL: `https://api.primitive.dev/v1/sent-emails/{id}/attachments.tar.gz`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in query parameter `token`

Downloads retained inline attachments as a gzip-compressed tar archive. Authenticate with an organization API key, an authorized organization OAuth token, or a signed sent-attachment download token. Address-bound agent connection keys and Function credentials are not permitted. Archive member names match attachments[].tar_path in sent-email detail. Legacy sends may have no archive; offloaded payload files are not included. Discarded content cannot be downloaded.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Authenticated caller lacks permission for the operation
- `404`: Resource not found
- `410`: Email content has been discarded.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. The `ratelimit-*` headers describe the limiter that rejected this request, with its own limit and window, not the API budget that successful responses report. A limiter that reports only a wait sends `Retry-After` alone.
- `500`: The retained attachment archive could not be retrieved or verified.
