# remove Agent Connection

`POST /agent-connections/{address}/remove`

## Request

Permanently remove a revoked connection record. A current personal owner may permanently remove their own record; organization owners and admins may remove any record. Disconnect first using revokeAgentConnection; an active connection returns 409 connection_not_revoked. Missing or already removed records return 404. Mail, address notes, domains and external runtimes are preserved. The removed address stays reserved within the organization; old credentials and invitations remain invalid.

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Authenticated caller lacks permission for the operation
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: The request conflicts with the current state of the resource
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. The `ratelimit-*` headers describe the limiter that rejected this request, with its own limit and window, not the API budget that successful responses report. A limiter that reports only a wait sends `Retry-After` alone.
- `503`: connection_cleanup_pending: the disconnected connection's old credential is still being removed. Nothing was changed and the cleanup progress is kept; retry after the Retry-After interval.
