# Delete an organization address note

`DELETE /address-notes/{address}/{name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.primitive.dev/v1`
- URL: `https://api.primitive.dev/v1/address-notes/{address}/{name}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Organization-scoped address annotations, independent of agents, routes and endpoints. Any bare address can have private notes. Function credentials may read org notes but cannot write or delete. Use if_absent or if_version to avoid overwriting another writer.

## Path parameters

- `address` string, email, required: Bare email address, normalized to lowercase. Plus tags are preserved.
- `name` string, required: Case-sensitive note name. AGENT_INFO, AGENT_USES and AGENT_RUNTIME (where the agent runs, e.g. its runtime, machine and working directory) are conventions, with no required value schema.

## Query parameters

- `if_version` string: Monotonic version for this org, address and name, including deletion and recreation.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Authenticated caller lacks permission for the operation
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: address_note_conflict: if_absent or if_version did not match.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. The `ratelimit-*` headers describe the limiter that rejected this request, with its own limit and window, not the API budget that successful responses report. A limiter that reports only a wait sends `Retry-After` alone.
