# Provision your member email address

`PUT /account/member-address`

## Request

Provision or return this authenticated human member's stable managed address in this organization. API keys, connected agents and Functions cannot provision or impersonate humans. The owner explicitly chooses the address. An address someone else in the organization already uses (sends from, or received mail at) is refused for anyone but an owner; otherwise existing retained mail requires confirmation. Reserved identities cannot be overridden. There is no target user input. An unavailable domain never silently changes the address.

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Authenticated caller lacks permission for the operation
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: The request conflicts with the current state of the resource
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. The `ratelimit-*` headers describe the limiter that rejected this request, with its own limit and window, not the API budget that successful responses report. A limiter that reports only a wait sends `Retry-After` alone.
