# Requests an email address change.

`PATCH /api/users/{uuid}/email`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pricklymails.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: HTTP bearer

## Path parameters

- `uuid` string, required

## Request body

- ChangeEmailRequest: Request body for `PATCH /api/users/:uuid/email`.
  - `current_password` string, required: The current password for confirmation.
  - `new_email` string, required: The new email address.

## Response `204`

Change requested; a confirmation link was emailed to the new address.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid email, invalid password, or wrong current password.
- `401`: Missing or invalid JWT.
- `403`: Caller is not permitted to change this user's email.
- `404`: No user with this UUID.
- `409`: The new email is already taken.
