# 1. Create an Upload Slot

`GET /uploadmanager.newuploadslot`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://companynode.pricefx.com/pricefx/companypartition`
- URL: `https://companynode.pricefx.com/pricefx/companypartition/uploadmanager.newuploadslot`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `X-PriceFx-jwt`
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/pricefx/apis/the-pricefx-backend-api/docs/uploadmanager.newuploadslot/get.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Returns a slot **ID** that is needed for the **`/bdmanager.upload/{typedId}/{slot_id}`**, or `/productimages.upload/{slot_id}/{sku}` (*Upload a File*) endpoint.
