# Release the team credit holds

`POST /teams/{team_slug}/credits/holds/release`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.presscart.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.presscart.com/teams/{team_slug}/credits/holds/release`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Called by the balance page before it reads the balance. Ends every checkout of the team that holds credits and has not started paying, and lists the holds waiting for a bank payment.

## Response `200`

Holds released

- object
  - `released` integer, required: Checkouts ended and their credits returned
  - `kept` integer, required: Held checkouts whose payment has started
  - `waiting_orders` object[], required: Orders whose held credits wait for a bank payment to clear
    - `order_id` string, uuid, required
    - `reference_number` string, nullable, required
    - `credits` number, required: Held credit, in dollars

## Other responses

- `401`: Not signed in
- `403`: Not a member of the team, or the team does not exist
- `404`: The request carries no authorized team
- `429`: Too many release requests
