# Read one of my fantasy calculations

`GET /v1/fantasy/jobs/{job_id}`

The state of a calculation started with `Prefer: respond-async` (the NBA squad builder and the NBA transfer plan), or of one whose synchronous call answered 503 with a `Location` to this endpoint. `status` is `queued` (with `queue_position`, the jobs ahead of it), `running`, `done` or `failed`. When `done`, `result` is exactly the body the synchronous endpoint returns. When `failed`, `error` carries the status and the sentence the synchronous call would have answered. Poll every two or three seconds, a build takes up to about 30. A job is readable for six hours and only by the account that started it: anybody else gets 404. Reading it changes nothing and costs no quota.
