# Mint an oracle api-key

`POST /v1/provider/keys`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://origin.predictasiax.com`
- URL: `https://origin.predictasiax.com/v1/provider/keys`
- Auth: API key in header `X-PAX-Session`

Requires a platform session or builder-portal OAuth token. Mints an api-key carrying oracle:write + read. The plaintext key is returned exactly once. Max 5 active keys per user.

## Request body

- MintKeyRequest: Optional body for minting a key.
  - `name` string: Optional label for the key (defaults to "oracle").

## Response `201`

Key minted. Plaintext returned once.

- MintedKey: A newly minted oracle api-key. The plaintext is returned exactly once.
  - `key` string, required: The plaintext api-key. Shown only once — store it now.
  - `key_prefix` string, required
  - `scopes` string[], required
  - `name` string, required
  - `note` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid session/builder token.
- `409`: Active key limit reached; revoke one first.
- `503`: Session store or identity verifier unavailable.
