# Create a V2 profile job

`POST /v2/quality/profiles/jobs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com`
- URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com/v2/quality/profiles/jobs`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a profile job with an explicit profile type (BASIC or ADVANCED). The profile definition asset is resolved internally from the catalog based on the profileType. Provide either assetIds (list) or assetGroupId — not both.

## Request body

- ProfileJobV2Request: Request payload for V2 profile job submission
  - `assetGroupId` string: Asset group ID for semantic assessment
  - `assetIds` string[]: List of asset IDs for semantic assessment
  - `name` string: Optional semantic job name
  - `profileType` 'Basic' | 'Advanced', required: Profile type: BASIC or ADVANCED

## Response `201`

Profile job created successfully

- JobResponse: Response containing the job ID for a submitted job request
  - `jobId` string: Unique identifier for the job

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request — missing or invalid profileType, or bad assetIds / assetGroupId
- `404`: Profile definition asset not found for the given profileType
- `500`: Internal server error
