# Create a job for a rule

`POST /v1/quality/rules/{ruleId}/jobs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com`
- URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com/v1/quality/rules/{ruleId}/jobs`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a job for the specified rule ID. The asset ID is optional. Returns a job response with a unique job identifier.

## Path parameters

- `ruleId` string, required

## Request body

- JobRequest: Request payload for submitting a job, containing the asset ID
  - `assetId` string: Asset ID for the job request
  - `name` string: Name for the job request. Should be a human-readable identifier for the job, such as 'Customer Data Quality Job' or 'Sales Metrics Analysis'

## Response `201`

Job created successfully

- JobResponse: Response containing the job ID for a submitted job request
  - `jobId` string: Unique identifier for the job

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid job request
- `404`: Rule not found
- `500`: Internal server error
