# Create or update failed record storage configuration

`PUT /v1/quality/configuration/failed-record-storage`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com`
- URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com/v1/quality/configuration/failed-record-storage`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a new failed-record storage configuration when no matching source connection exists. Updates the existing configuration when the same source connection is already mapped to an asset, deleting and rebuilding the source relation as part of the update. Before create/update, target connection compatibility is validated for the provided source connection. The name is auto-generated as FailedRecordLogTable_{sourceConnectionId}.

## Request body

- FailedRecordStorageConfigurationRequest: Request to create or update a failed record storage configuration
  - `sourceConnectionId` string: Source connection catalog asset ID. Used as lookup key for create-vs-update detection and to detect duplicate source usage.
  - `targetAssetNamePath` string: Fully-qualified target asset name path.
  - `targetAssetTypePath` string: Target asset type hierarchy path.
  - `targetConnectionId` string: Target connection catalog asset ID.
