# Create a new project of any type

`POST /v1/integration/projects`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://integration-adapter.connect.cloud.precisely.com`
- URL: `https://integration-adapter.connect.cloud.precisely.com/v1/integration/projects`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a Continuous Replication, Mainframe Replication, or Advanced Replication
(DSL) project through a single type-agnostic endpoint by delegating to
the integration platform.

**Features:**
- Accepts all three project types via the `projectType` field.
- Returns the newly created project ID in the `Location` header and response body.
- Enforces name uniqueness within the workspace.

**Use Cases:**
- Agent/automation creates a project as the first step of an onboarding workflow.
- Provision projects of different types programmatically without switching endpoints.

**Authorization:** Requires `replication-pipeline::create` when permission harmonization is enabled; otherwise, `replication-pipeline::manage`.

## Request body

- UnifiedProjectCreateRequest: Request payload for creating a new project of any type (Continuous Replication, Mainframe Replication, or Advanced Replication)
  - `name` string, required: The name of the project. Must be unique within the workspace.
  - `description` string: Optional human-readable description of the project
  - `projectType` 'REPLICATION' | 'MAINFRAME_REPLICATION' | 'ADVANCED_REPLICATION', required: Project type that determines the backing store and pipeline model

## Response `201`

Project created

- CreateProjectResponse: Response containing the ID of the newly created project
  - `id` string: Unique identifier of the created project

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request — invalid or missing fields
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden — requires replication-pipeline::create or legacy replication-pipeline::manage
- `409`: Conflict — project with the same name already exists (DI-ADAPTER-PRJ-0006)
- `500`: Internal Server Error — project creation failed (DI-ADAPTER-PRJ-0003)
