# This V2 version generates url for uploading the file

`POST /v2/files/upload-url`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com`
- URL: `https://api.cloud.precisely.com/v2/files/upload-url`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

This V2 version of API generates url for uploading the file to the S3 bucket. It takes the file name and returns the file id and pre-signed uploading URL which can be used to upload the file to the S3 bucket.

## Request body

- UploadUrlRequest: Upload url request
  - `fileName` string, required: Name of the file to upload

## Response `200`

File upload url generated Successfully

- UploadUrlResponse: Upload url response
  - `fileId` string, required: file Id for uploading file
  - `url` string, url, required: pre signed url for uploading the file on S3
  - `message` string, required: message for the response

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request for Generate URL API
- `401`: Unauthorized: Invalid token for Generate URL API
- `403`: Forbidden for Generate URL API
- `429`: Too many requests for Generate URL API
- `500`: Internal Server Error for Generate URL API
