# Test a webhook

`POST /v1/webhooks/{webhookId}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.postzen.dev`
- URL: `https://api.postzen.dev/v1/webhooks/{webhookId}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Queues a `webhook.test` event through the normal delivery pipeline using the endpoint's current URL, secret, and custom headers. The endpoint must be active.

## Response `202`

Test delivery queued.

  - `message` string, required
  - `eventId` string, required
  - `deliveryId` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key does not have sufficient permission or profile access.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: The webhook endpoint is inactive.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the interval indicated by the `Retry-After` header.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
