# Get the next queue slot

`GET /v1/queue/next-slot`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.postzen.dev`
- URL: `https://api.postzen.dev/v1/queue/next-slot`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the next free instant the queue would hand out. This is a preview only — the slot is not reserved. Create queued posts with `queuedFromProfile` rather than passing this value back as `scheduledFor`, or a concurrent create can take the slot first.

## Query parameters

- `profileId` string, required
- `queueId` string

## Response `200`

Next slot returned.

- QueueNextSlotResponse
  - `profileId` string, required
  - `nextSlot` string, date-time, nullable, required: Null when every slot in the next year is already taken.
  - `timezone` string, required
  - `queueId` string, required
  - `queueName` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request.

- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: The queue is paused or has no slots.

- `500`: Unexpected server error.
